Bio:
Since I was little the first question anyone’s ever asked me when first meeting me, is how do you pronounce your last name? It’s pronounced Po•krif•ka. It’s Polish, and the “W,” makes the “F” sound. There now that’s that out of the way, let me tell you more about me. I found a passion writing at an early age and parlayed that into a robust career working for most of the large advertising agencies in the Detroit area with all of the Big 3 (GM, Chrysler and Ford) as clients, as well as Audi.
I’ve written for just about every medium: print, digital, video, email, snail mail, pony express, and pretty much everything in between. I live in the beautiful, yet not centrally located, New Baltimore, MI with my beautiful wife, Angela and my two English Golden Retrievers, Cloe and Finley. I write screenplays on the side and had my very first one THE LIST optioned by a production company in LA, as well as having several finish in the top ten of various contests.
Some interesting notes about me: I had an ill-fated run for the presidency in 2008 with Facebook being my only medium, I was the wordsmith behind the faux boy band “The Play-Ahhs,” and I took four semesters of improv at Ferndale’s Go Comedy! club. I also love all sports and movies, and root on my Spartans every chance I get.

• Wrote and optioned feature-length screenplay to Hollywood production company, Gross-Weston Productions • Placed as Quarterfinalist with four different scripts in various screenplay contests. • Placed as Finalist in WildSound Filmmaking’s Original TV Pilot contest. • Placed two scripts in the top ten of the Screenwriter Takes All
February 2011 contest • Graduated from GoComedy! Intro Improv Program • Member of Society of Children Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI)
