I’ve worked with Bob at my past two creative agencies. Bob is the type of creative lead you want at your company. He’s incredibly talented, endlessly patient, extremely level headed and above all, is a great person.
He’s well liked by teammates, clients and management. He’s the guy you want in the room when you’re trying to win new business. He’s also the guy you want in the room when you’ve won said business to retain it. He’s creative, yet strategic. Hits deadlines, yet makes sure the job is done well. Listens to client needs, yet executes in a way that’s best for the business. He’s top of my list when I think of Creative Directors.
He’s sincere, funny and exceptionally kind. Whoever is fortunate enough to hire this guy next will not be disappointed! I can’t wait to see what he does next — this guy is going places.

How do I even start this because there’s too much to say about Bob? First up, he’s incredible. An incredible creative director and an incredible human.
He has all the things that a great leader needs: a collaborative, I’ll-jump-in-to-help-with-anything spirit, big-picture thinking, empathy, and complete trust in his team. He’s my #1 choice for someone to collaborate with on literally any project, but especially big, conceptual projects and pitches.
He’s made a positive impact on his team and clients, but that also extends outside his immediate reports and circle. He’s the person in the agency that everyone admires and looks up to because he’s dynamic, optimistic, selfless, brilliant, confident and kind. So, ALL THE THINGS.

When you first meet Bob, make note of his smile. Because it shows up at times when people need it most. Sure, he probably fakes it sometimes. But, I can’t tell. Believe me when I say, it’s important to have a partner who can smile through it all. And it’s even more important when you consider that positive presence inspires and encourages his entire team.
That smile is an outward glimpse of his leadership style. He leads with kindness and empathy. Grace and gratitude. Respect and introspect. But don’t let that smile fool you into thinking he’s soft. You may not see it, but you sure can feel when that smile turns to a smirk that says “bring it.” He’s up for any challenge and has enough experience to know how to lean in and get shi…stuff done. And done well.

Bob does a killer Donald Duck impression. He's also a highly skilled, extraordinarily positive, uber inspiring creative director. More importantly, he's an all-around great human being who is universally beloved by the entire team.
Of Bob's many strength's (writing, concepting, visualizing, strategizing, Donald Duck), what stands out most is his ability to truly "direct" a team. He doesn't micromanage. Or meddle. Or one-up. Or belittle. Or pilfer. He inspires and directs, pushing all of us to hone our creative to its best, most-realized form. He's been instrumental in teaching me how to not only improve all forms of my writing and thinking, but also in showing me how a leader leads. With a cool head, kind heart, and sincere care for every person--and every idea--under his watch.
There are a handful of people I'd always work for in this business. Bob is one of them. If you're considering him, stop considering and just hand him the offer letter. Your business will be better for it.
